Chasing Culture and Sparking Conversations, with MacPeezy and WhySaint
Established in 2020, PG County natives MacPeezy, WhySaint, and Stat brought their shared idea to life by creating The CurbTalks Podcast, which has since evolved into a passionate purposeful lifestyle. This duo initially got on the microphone to talk about current events and trending topics then shifted to a guest-centered approach inviting peers, fashion designers, entrepreneurs, actors, and like-minded individuals from the DMV to combine perspectives and give viewers an authentic experience and conversation. Can you predict the twists and turns each episode will take? Probably not– but you can expect to feel like you’re present in the room, which is the common energy that translates to listeners.
Each episode of CurbTalks uniquely resonates with a diverse audience, making it a hub for exploring the depth of DMV culture through shared stories and the experiences of the youth raised in the area. Keeping the content strong while making connections last— they stay true to themselves and create an environment that each guest knows as “The Curb Experience.” Over time, as their audience grew and more ideas took off, their partnership as hosts strengthened and embodied true friendship and genuine chemistry. This growth led to the launch of their new show, Off the Record, On the Record, which emphasizes unfiltered conversations with the motto: “Less Structure, More Vibes.”
This year, The CurbTalks Podcast expanded with two branches: Curb West and Curb East. While both hosts are now based on the West Coast, their head of production Stat, takes the lead as the host for Curb East, maintaining fresh ideas, culture, and perspectives. He describes it as “still maintaining the older crowd, picking into some brains and thought leaders.” Watch the full interview to gain insight into how MacPeezy and Whysaint pivot Curb West by finding purpose through passion and embracing 2025 as their year of uncomfortability to foster growth.
Her Gifted Gab says…
I appreciated the natural flow, laughter, and depth of this conversation as I noticed many qualities in their mission that resonated with my own. From hosting guests and sharing DMV creativity through people and conversations, to proudly repping their county and beyond, it was heartwarming to sit down with two individuals who deeply understand the need for representation of the talent flowing through our area. My favorite part? Their thoughtful and intentional responses in voicing how much CurbTalks means to them now more than ever, especially transitioning to the opposite side of the world. Best of luck to The CurbTalks Podcast as their journey continues! Hypothetically… you can catch me on an episode of Off the Record, On the Record sometime in February… *hint hint*
